Larose Saint Jean
Larose Saint Jean was named director of St. Michael’s Laundry effective February 1, 2016.
In this capacity, he is responsible for planning, organization and management of the University’s full service campus laundry. He oversees dry and wet cleaning; tailoring and alterations; shoe repair; linen rental; departmental uniform purchase and rental; laundry service offered exclusively to University departments such as the Athletic Department, Morris Inn, residence halls, ROTC and University Bands, and the religious community as well as the Early Childhood Development Center and Saint Mary’s College. Lastly, he oversees the student bundle service, washing an average of 35,000 pieces of clothing per week.
Before joining the University, Saint Jean served as director of laundry for Crothall Services at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Denver, Colorado. He has also served in managerial positions in other Ritz Carlton properties, including Ritz Carlton Hotel New Orleans and Ritz Carlton Resort of Naples, Florida.
He holds three Bachelor’s degrees: a degree in Civil Law, Faculty of Law and Judicial Science; Haitian State University; a degree in Spanish and Latin Studies, Universidad APEX, Dominican Republic; and a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Florida Gulf Coast University. He speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, French, Portuguese and Haitian Creole.
Saint Jean and his wife, Myriam, a native of France, have three children: Matis, age 7; Loris, age 5, and Janelle, age 2. They reside in Granger, Indiana.
