Karen Schirmuhly was named Director of Operations, Notre Dame Concessions and Clubs, effective July 1, 2016. In this capacity, she is responsible for concession and club services at Notre Dame Stadium; Compton Family Ice Arena; Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center; Warren Golf Course; and all Olympic sports stadia, including baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse. Notre Dame Concessions and Clubs are managed by Levy Restaurants, a top performing contract food service organization specializing in high-volume sporting venues.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Karen served as Director of Operations at Sonoma Raceway, Sonoma, California. Here she achieved the highest year-over-year increase in guest satisfaction across all eight tracks in the organization and increased sales 22.5% and profit 28.6% over the prior year. In her career with Levy, Karen has managed concessions at numerous stadiums and venues across the country, including Oracle Arena in Oakland, California and the National Park in Washington, D.C.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a B.S. degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration.
